On October 5th, we welcomed a new physician to our team: Dr. Mary Kate Thayer. A fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Thayer specializes in surgeries of the hand and upper extremities in both adults and children.
Dr. Thayer received her MD from St. Louis School of Medicine, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha – the highest honors. A native Washingtonian, she returned home to complete her orthopaedic residency at the University of Washinton before relocating to Baltimore, Maryland to complete a prestigious fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Curtis National Hand Center. Dr. Thayer is published in the topics of hand, wrist, and trauma surgery and has presented much of this research at national and local levels.
We’re thrilled to have Dr. Thayer on our team here at Proliance Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. Click below to learn more about her!
