Today we officially welcome Suzanne Wahl, PA-C to our team of Physician Assistants! Suzanne is an experienced board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in clinical and operative Sports Medicine since 2005. She and Dr. Christopher Wahl have worked closely together as a wife-husband team for almost 2 decades.
Her sports medicine career began in 2000 as a certified athletic trainer (ATC), caring for collegiate athletes at the University of Colorado and University of Washington. The experience gave her valuable insight to the most rapid and effective rehabilitation of non-operative and operative sports injuries.
Suzanne spent 10 years working in academic medicine at the University of Washington Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine (UW) and University of California San Diego Health System (UCSD). At both institutions she taught PA students, medical students and orthopaedic residents in the clinical and surgical setting. While at UW, she served as chief orthopedic PA-C and developed and managed the Arthroscopy, Research and Training (ART) Lab. During her time at UCSD, Suzanne served as clinical liaison for the San Diego Chargers NFL football team and was instrumental in the design, development and organization UCSD’s Sports Medicine Clinic. She joined Proliance Surgeons, Inc. in 2015.
