As the 2021 football season draws near its end, we’d like to take a moment to thank our team of physicians who have volunteered their time, as well as congratulate all the athletes for their hard
work this season! This past weekend Washington high schools Bellevue and Kennewick battled it out on the field at the Final 3A State game where the Bellevue Wolverines won the state title and defeated the Kennewick Lions 17-13. Congratulations to Bellevue and job well done Dr. Tyler Nathe and all other physicians who have volunteered their time to provide care to the Bellevue team!
Over the past several seasons, Proliance Orthopaedic and Sport Medicine physicians have played a crucial role in the safety of Washington high school football players both on and off the field. To cap off this year’s Friday Night Lights season, we would like to highlight the dedication that our Proliance physicians have to protect student-athletes and provide a safe and healthy athletic environment to public schools around Washington! Dr. Castle, an orthopaedic surgeon, has served as a team physician at Bellevue for 19 years. Dr. Cummings, a non-operative sports medicine physician, has been a team physician for Interlake and Issaquah high schools for two years. Dr. Komenda, an orthopaedic surgeon, has been a team physician at Eastside Catholic for 14 years, Issaquah High School for 10 years, and Eastlake High School for 4 years. Dr. Mickelson, an orthopaedic surgeon, has served as a team physician at Redmond High School for 5 years. Dr. Sailer, an orthopaedic surgeon, has served as a team physician at Skyline High School for 15 – 20 years.
We are so thankful for their hard work and volunteered time to help make local sports safe!
